Why We Say “Partner”
At Light Community Church, we use the word partner instead of member because we believe church is more than belonging—it’s joining God’s mission together. In Philippians 1:5, Paul celebrates the church’s “partnership in the gospel.” Partners pray, serve, give, grow, and help others follow Jesus. Our goal isn’t simply to build a membership list. We want to make disciples who actively participate in what God is doing in Northern Virginia and beyond.

Partnership is about taking intentional steps together as we follow Jesus and live out His mission.
We pursue biblical community by gathering regularly, growing together, building authentic relationships, and supporting the mission and values of Light Community Church.
We commit to praying for our church, our leaders, our community, and those who don’t yet know Jesus.
We faithfully steward our time, talents, and resources to advance God’s Kingdom through the local church.

After completing the Partnership Class, you’ll have the opportunity to affirm and sign the Light Community Church Partnership Covenant.
